Places to visit

Getting about and seeing where plants grow helps you to become more successful in your gardening. There are lots of local bushland areas to visit to see plants growing in their natural environment.

If you are interested in a wider selection of Australian plants both Ballarat and Geelong Botanic Gardens have small sections that include native plants and are well worth a visit. If you want to travel further a field the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne,  is devoted entirely to native plants and provides many ideas that you may adapt to your own garden.

My new favorite place to go is Melton Botanic Garden. There are lots of smaller eucalypts and plenty of birds. Here is a link to the Friends Group.
