Native bluebells, Wahlenbergia sp. are found in grasslands and in the local bushland. They are sometimes grown in the home garden but the double form is very attractive and worth trying. I grow it in a pot so I don’t lose it.
This year I will try to propagate it by division. I will also try some from seed but I am not sure if it will be viable or even grow true to type. Wahlenbergias are a bit straggly in the natural environment so needs to grow amongst other plants if you want a patch of blue in the garden.
